# SKU & GTIN Doctor in Shopify Sidekick

Ask Shopify Sidekick about your catalog findings in the Shopify admin: what is wrong, which products, which barcodes. Read-only, with links to each finding in SKU & GTIN Doctor.

## What it is

SKU & GTIN Doctor gives Shopify Sidekick, the AI assistant in the Shopify admin, read access to your catalog findings. There is nothing to set up: it works once the app is installed, on stores where Sidekick is available.

## How it works

1. Open Sidekick in your Shopify admin and ask about your catalog, for example "What's wrong with my catalog?".
2. Sidekick asks permission first: "Allow Sidekick to use SKU & GTIN Doctor to ...?" Choose Yes, Yes and don't ask again, or No.
3. Sidekick answers from the app's findings: counts by severity and check, product names, and barcodes, with "View finding" links that open the finding inside the app in Shopify admin.

## Tools

## What it cannot do

- It is read-only. Sidekick cannot change your store or a finding's status; resolve, snooze, and reopen stay in the dashboard.
- Each answer carries at most 10 findings. Ask for a check, a severity, or a product to narrow the list.
- Your store needs Sidekick, which is not available on every store.
